The movement is BUILDING 🚀 Plus: 111 pieces of marriage advice, & healthy s'mores swap 🏕

Momentum for health

Since last week’s newsletter (read it here: it dropped some hard truths about what’s happening to our health in the US), we have over 15,000 new subscribers - WELCOME!

This influx is largely due to my recent interview with Tucker Carlson (now at 7 MILLION views on X alone) and then Robert F. Kennedy Jr. mentioning the podcast in the historic speech he gave when he closed down his presidential campaign on Friday and committed to continuing to work towards radically improving American health, especially for children. 💪

Since the podcast aired, I have received many thousands of notes from individuals via email, direct messages, my website, and shared stories and tweets, and 99% of them are saying a variation of same thing:

We are DONE with the status quo of chronic disease.

We are TIRED of the “sickcare” system and the pervasive ultra-processed food and toxins.

We want to work together toward a healthier world - NOW.

WE ARE AWAKE - LET’S GO. 🚀

Movement is happening. Chronic disease is being discussed at the highest levels of politics and media. A portal of opportunity feels open. 🔮 Do you feel it too?

If you’ve written to me, I want you to know that I have personally read nearly every single message that has been sent. A few dominant themes are standing out, which I think are important to share with you.

What I’m hearing from the community - 4 themes: 👇️

  1. 😷 Many healthcare providers from all professions (MDs, DOs, RNs, NDs, NPs, PAs, Herbalists, therapists, and more) are frustrated by what they are seeing on the front lines of healthcare, with the business of medicine sometimes taking precedence over actual health. Many feel stuck. Some are leaving the system. Here is just a TINY sample of the innumerable (all anonymized) messages I recieved from healthcare providers over the past week. 👇️

  2. 💸 Some are tired of feeling like a “human ATM” machine for the healthcare industry when it comes to chronic diseases. People are frustrated by high costs and poor outcomes. Many are TIRED of seemingly unavoidable toxins in our food and environment. Many want the healthcare system to focus more on the ROOT CAUSES.

  3. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents shared frustration and exhaustion with lack of support for the tireless invisible unpaid work it takes to raise healthy children and protect kids from the toxic stew of chemicals in food, water, and the environment. This is a uniquely American problem, and now close to 50% of kids have a chronic illness 💔 .

This portion of the transcript from my interview with Tucker Carlson seemed to resonate with many of you

Poignant messages from mothers who feel seen by someone saying publicly that the hard work of parenting matters and is valuable. 💔

  1. 📢 So many of you are READY to get loud, stop allowing the status quo, and make change. I SEE YOU.

Amongst the messages, I am hearing a lot of questions for resources, support, and ways to detoxify your life.

The questions have ranged from asking for my recommendations on laundry detergents, protein bars, bread alternatives, non-alcoholic wines, supplements, makeup, best lab testing, how to find organic food in rural environments with limited access, what I think about vaccines, how to manage pain with natural approaches, holistic cancer care, how to get kids to eat healthy food, what water system I recommend, and so many more. I will continue to share as many resources I can in upcoming newsletters, but for the time being, here are a few:

My newsletter archives provide a HUGE amount of free, actionable resources for your questions.

I also have a few free guides available for download on my website:

Many people are asking me how to get involved: Stay tuned.

🔄 Good swap - Organic, better-for-you s’mores 🏕️

Since many of my earliest subscribers love the “good foods, good swaps, and good thoughts,” I want to make sure I continue to include these! For this week: healthy s’mores! I went camping with my fiancé and 3 nephews recently, and in an effort to make our camping food align with Good Energy principles, we put a spin on s’mores for a organic, better-for-you option!

Swap conventional s’mores for Good Energy s’mores! My fiancé taught me this!

To make Good Energy s’mores, you’ll only need three ingredients:

Place several bananas (with peel on) directly on a grill over an open flame (see picture above). Roast the bananas over your campfire/grill for 10-15 minutes until the skin starts to split open and the skin is blackened and charred. Take the bananas off the grill and let cool for a minute or two, then peel each banana, and while it’s hot (be careful not to burn your hands!), mix together the hot banana with almond butter and chocolate chips in a mug or bowl until melted, and eat with a spoon! 🍌

Conventional s’mores that use graham crackers, marshmallows, and milk chocolate contain a LONG list of artificial and ultraprocessed ingredients that we do not want inside our body. When making our food, we want to be able to understand everything that’s written on the ingredient label.

Here is a comparison of the ingredient list for conventional s’mores and Good Energy s’mores:

Good Energy s’mores: No pesticides, no chemicals, no refined grains, no refined sugars, no industrial seed oils - just REAL, natural ingredients.

📱 Macro Tracking with Levels + a FREE Labs Offer!

Levels, the company I co-founded, recently launched an incredible new feature to help you seamlessly track your macros – like protein, fiber, fat, carbohydrates, and sugar – and it is an absolute game changer. I love using Levels as my personal food journal (even when I’m not using a continuous glucose monitor) so I can make sure I’m staying accountable to my goals.

In Good Energy, I don’t focus on particular ratios of macros, but I do encourage people to shoot for 30g of protein per meal and 50g of fiber per day. With Levels’ new barcode scanning, AI photo recognition, and the ability to take a photo of a nutritional label in the Levels app to upload all the data, it makes knowing if you’re hitting your goals for protein and fiber (and other macros you want to track) completely effortless.

Here are a few screenshots of my own continuous glucose data from the Levels app!

Levels is offering new members free Labs when you use my link and sign up for an annual membership!
